About the Band
Son Geelong — Afro-Latin music with heart.
Formed in 2023, the Geelong Latin Band brings together Australian and Latin American musicians who share a passion for Afro‑Latin music. We perform Cuban Son, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Latin fusion styles at socials, festivals, community events and private functions.
We also host open rehearsals and percussion workshops, welcoming dancers and musicians to explore the rhythmic foundations behind our sound.
